In case you missed it, Pat Robertson got the word from God yesterday saying the US will become a socialist nation. All I want to know is what took God so long to say it would happen?
National health care, regulated airlines, public ownership in the major industries, more holidays and longer vacations, are but some of the prospects for a socialized economy starting in 2009.
Democratic socialism works. Most of the industrialized nations of the world are social democracies, so the United States should join the world (that would be really different) and practice a more humane governing system.
It just occured to me: Maybe we should thank not only God but George W. Bush for this development. If he hadn't have screwed up just about everything he touched in the past eight years, we might not be on the verge of democratic socialism in our country.
A loud cheer for God and for George W. Bush!

Yes, but this may just be a religious trend...the litmus test for political variances might be whether we can name a football team "The Socialists". Success is in the marketing, and brainwashing of the public.
